Benelli Imperiale 400
19th of April 2022 I have bought Benelli Imperiale 400. Initially I
wanted to buy the Royal Enfield Metor, but the nearest dealer is in Zwolle,
a city 135 km away. In June it had its 1000 km service(99.95 Euro).
Up to that moment I have only been riding on back roads, including the 85 kilometers
to the dealer in Coevorden. It should not be revved over 4000 rpm, this means
about 80 km/h.
What I like about the bike:
-upright and comfy seat
-fuel consumption 3 ltrs/100 kms
-smooth engine, although it has only 1 cylinder
-stable cornering
-keeps riding straight ahead with crosswinds
Less positive:
-hard rear suspension
-gas reaction on low speeds
July 2022, 1700 km
The engine is getting better and better. It vibrates less and the suspension
seems to be softer. Also the gasreaction is less abrupt. Because it can be revved
higher, changing from 3th to 4th gear don't sets you back around 3000 rpm. There's
less power in that region.
I have seen dat in India the bike
is sold with a mudflap. The mountingscrews are in the lower side of the
front fender. |

To keep the engine clean I ordered a unversal mudflap.... | |
and mounted it. | |
